Kamal Hassan had played small negative roles in several movies, prior to the time he started playing only lead roles, during the early and mid 70s. This movie was released in the year 1975. Sivakumar was the hero of this movie. Kamal had played a negative role as the brother in law of Sivakumar. The music for this movie had been scored by the duo Shankar Ganesh and not by Illayaraja as many believe it to be.
