This is a hit song from the movie Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu starring Kamal Hassan and Jyothika. The movie had been directed by Gautham Menon and the music for the movie had been composed by Harris Jeyaraj. This particular song has been sung by Hariharan and one of the other voices in this song is Nakul, the now fast growing actor. In fact Nakul's first interest had been music as mentioned by him in an interview. This movie had been one of the last few movies which Jyothika had starred in before getting married to Surya. The director has picturized the subtle development of the romance between Kamal and Jyothika by effectively utilizing a clever sequence of visuals, showing the pair's mutual concern though with slight a distance between them, differences in interests between them, etc, amidst the fast paced and glittering night life in the US. The movie had done reasonably well but it had not appealed to all sections of the audience due to its partly perverse kind of storyline. The singer Krish who is the husband of Tamil actress Sangeetha, by default sings this song whenever he is on stage or when he appears on any TV show!
