Moreover, she tells Chandru that she is suffering from blood cancer. Despite this, Chandru decides to meet Sona's father and ask her hand in marriage. However, her father tells him that Sona has played a prank on him because she is already engaged to someone else. This leaves Chandru devastated. After many twists and turns Chandru marries Sona after which she dies of cancer. Chandru is left with her sweet memories.
