This is a hit song from the movie Nooravathu Naal starring Mohan, Nalini, Sathyaraj and others. The movie was directed by Manivannan and the music was composed by Illayaraja. Illayaraja has used this same tune in other languages too most recently in Hindi in the Amithab Bachchan (and Tabu) starrer Cheeni Kum. Great composition in which ever language you hear it no doubt.
