This is a hit song from the movie Nerukku Ner starring Surya, Vijay, Simran and others. This is Surya's debut movie. This movie has been directed by the director Vasanth. When he had asked Ajith to act in this movie Ajith had declined the offer. It should be noted that Ajith's biggest hit during that period Aasai had been directed by Vasanth. So Vasanth decided to bring in Surya (who had been working in a garment factory at that time) as a new comer and as an alternative to Ajith. That is the story of Surya's entry into Tamil movies. Simran is looking like Surya's elder sister in this movie though!
