This is a superhit song from the movie Gunaa starring Kamal Hassan, Roshini, Rekha, SPB and others. This is a unique movie with an offbeat storyline. The movie had not done very well. This song was sort of the centre piece of the movie. The music had been composed by Illayaraja and the movie had been directed by one of Kamal's close friend Santhana Barathi. Incidentally Santhana Barathi started his directorial debut as a duo (Barathi - Vasu) with P Vasu as his partner in the movie Panner Pushpangal.
